Fry some garlic in oil, then add shrimp paste. Let that cook a bit, then add chopped up baby leek, a little fish sauce, and water. Let cook until liquid mostly boils off. Liquid is taking too long, so poke around in fridge. Find shredded fish in can (that friends left at place once a million years ago); throw some of that in to soak up liquid
